Youth Projects
This
is a project for the youth of Kannada Sangha Toronto,
to instill and inculcate the culture and traditions of
our Karnataka and Kannada to make them stay connected
with our roots. Participant will give a talk on any one
of the six selected topic for about 5 to 15 minutes. The
talk can be in English or Kannada. Participants are encouraged
to use multimedia to present their project. Kannada Sangha
will provide the Multimedia Equipment as per request.
The topics are as follows:
The
Historical Background of Karnataka
Natural Beauty of Karnataka
Dasara Festival over the years
Festivals in Karnataka
Dialects of the Kannada Language
Temples in Karnataka
Second Project "I love My Kannada"
This
is a talk in Kannada for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Participant can choose any topic of their choice.
The
contest has been rescheduled to March due to children's study commitments at school/college

The second meeting for "A day Deep in culture" for children under the age of 10 years is being held at Veena Cavale's house on 12 Jan 2008.
The topic is about Sankranti. Please call Veena at 905 542 5958 and confirm a place for your child. We have scheduled to have a maximum of 10 children only
Kannada Movie Mathadu Mathadu Mallige
After
the success of the Kannada Movie Mungaru MaLe, the committee
has decided to screen the above movie on February 17th, 2008..
Cultural Day
Cultural Day is being held on Saturday 9th February 2008 at the Brebeuf College School (Catholic Secondary School) 211 Steeles Avenue East, North York M2M 3Y6 416-393-5508.
The school has an excellent auditorium and a cafeteria and is considered ideal for our requirement.
The program details are as follows
Talent Show -
2 PM to 4 PM - Talent show by the children of our members in the following age groups

Parents are requested to register their children names be sending an email to kannadasangha@kstotonto.com or call Nagaveni on Telephone 905 896 0178. Please note that ONLY Members children are allowed to participate. Membership is still open.
Last date to register is 10 January 2008 or when the number of participants are filled up.
Professional performance
5 PM to 7 PM - Various cultural schools will show-case their professional talents to encourage and motivate our children to learn our culture from these schools.
