India recently made a generous contribution to Kannada Sangha during the NaaDa Habba two return tickets from Toronto to Chennai which was offered to the members of Kannada Sangha. Raju Chander and Vyjayanti Chander were the winners of the Jet Airways ticket. Raju Chander has offered highest donation to Kannada Sangha Toronto.

JET AIRWAYS LAUNCHES CHENNAI-TORONTO FLIGHT-

AIRLINE’S FIRST LONG-HAUL SERVICE FROM THE SOUTHERN REGION

Jet Airways, India’s premier airline, introduced its first flight from Chennai to Toronto, via its hub in Brussels. This follows the induction of a brand new Airbus 330-200 aircraft into the Jet Airways fleet, which will be used to operate these flights.

This will be the airline’s first Wide-Body operation from the southern region to North America.

Effective October 28th until December 4th, 2007, Jet Airways will offer four times a week service- on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. At Brussels, flights will be synchronized in order to provide passengers seamless transfer between Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to cities in North America – New York (JFK), Toronto and New York (Newark).

To launch this very important route, Jet Airways will use a brand new Airbus 330-200 aircraft, which will carry its passengers in a two-class layout and offers unprecedented levels of luxury, privacy and comfort in the air. The Airbus 330-200 aircraft has been especially configured for international operations with 30 seats in Premiere Class and 190 seats in the Economy Class. This Next-Generation aircraft promises to offer an international experience in Premiere and Economy Class.

The new Première lie flat beds represent the absolute latest in airline seat technology. Featuring a 73” bed length that electronically converts to an enormous 180-degree flat bed with lumbar support and massage systems, Première passengers will rest in unequalled comfort. The menu choices are exquisite and extensive. The finest of French Wines, Champagnes, including vintage Dom Perignon and a library of single malt whiskies will be offered.

The new economy seat has a seat pitch of 32”. It has been custom designed using the science of advanced ergonomics to create arguably the most comfortable economy seat in the sky.

The state-of-the-art In-Flight Panasonic eX2 Entertainment system offers passengers over 200 hours of Hollywood and Bollywood movies, regional films, television and short programming, audio CD’s covering every imaginable music genre and much, much more; all on demand.

At Brussels, Jet Airways’ First and Premier Class passengers will be welcomed at the airlines’ newly inaugurated lounge, a stunning example of contemporary design. The facilities and features, as well as the comfort and luxury of the lounge in Brussels make it arguably one of the best in the world.

Jet Airways flight 9W 225 (Toronto-Chennai) will depart Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 1930 hrs and arrive at Brussels at 0930 hrs. Flight 9W 225 will then depart Brussels at 1130 hrs and arrive at Chennai International Airport at 0140 hrs. On the return leg, Jet Airways flight 9W 226 (Chennai-Toronto) will depart Chennai International Airport at 0115 hrs and arrive at Brussels at 0715 hrs. Flight 9W 226 will then depart Brussels at 0915 hrs and arrive at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 1155 hrs.
