Culture
class - October 28, 2007
Veena Cavle recently made the first
attempt in running a small cultural class for our young kids. There
were a nice mix of boys and girls. This was a great experience for
the kids too. Special thanks to Swati for the help in putting together
the activities for the children. Congratulations to Veena Cavle
for the great success of this program.

KS Ganesha Habba - September
29, 2007
Kannada Sangha recently held
their annual Ganesha Habba function at The Gore Temple in Brampton.
And as always, the turnout of KST members was great, and the food
was scrumptious and enjoyed by all. The function included a Ganesha
sculpting contest for teens and a colouring contest for children.

Independence day Celebration
- August 19, 2007
To commemorate 60th
anniversary of the Independence Day of India, PANORAMA India with
the support of the CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA, TORONTO organised
a Parade and India
Day at Yonge-Dundas Square on 19th August 2007. Kanada Sangha participated
in the parade and show-cased Karnataka and India to the people of
Toronto. The celebration was a grand success.

KST Golf Event - July 28
& August 11, 2007 The Annual Golf Event was held recently
where several golf enthusiasts took part and had great fun. The
Tournament was held in two stages - 9 holes community golf held
at Derry dale Golf course on July/28/2007 & 18 holes singles
tournament held at Oakville execetive Golf course on Aug/11/2007

KS Picnic - July 15, 2007
Kannda Sangha
held their annual picnic at Morningside Park in Scarbrough. A variety
of games and activites were held for all ages. Also, a new executive
committee for the year 2007-2008 was elected.

KS Ugadi Habbba - March 31,
2007
Kannada
Sangha Toronto recently held their annual Ugadi Celebrations in
Port CreditSecondary School and it was a great success. This event
featured the KS food court which was enjoyed and appreciated by
all. Seminars on heart & health and child soldiers were well-received
before the spectacular evening program.

KS Food Bank Volunteering
- October 9, 2006
Kannda Sangha
attended the annual Thanksgiving Food Bank hunger drive by volunteering
to sort food at the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto. Many youth
from the community actively participated in the event.

their annual Ganesha Habba function at the Hindu Temple in Richmond
Hill. And as always, the turnout of KST members was great, and the
food was scrumptious and enjoyed by all. The function included a
fancy dress competition for toddlers.

Co-Chairs. A new Kannada Sangha Executive committee for 2006-2007

Habba - September 24,2005
Kannada Sangha Toronto recently held their annual Ganesha Habba
Function. As always, the turnout was very good and the food was
even better. A skit depicting two stories of Lord Ganesha was presented
which was enjoyed by one and all. This was followed by a brief report
about Gauri and Ganesha festivities in Bangalore, India.

concerning seniors. A yoga demonstration followed by kannada songs
was the hallmark of the event.

members on September 7, 2004.

Sangha Annual Picnic:
This was held at Erindale Park, Mississaugua, was well attended.
The cricket tournament and the corn cob stalls were a great success.
The picnic came to a close after the KS executive committee was
elected.

Movie - Poorvapara - June 27, 2004
A Kannada film under consideration
for the Toronto Film Festival. Produced and directed by Edakallu
Guddadamele fame, C. Chadrashekar from Ottawa. Members met producer-director-actor
Chandrashekar in person and enjoyed the movie and his views and experiences.
