Dear Members:

As you know a new Executive Committee is now in place. Details of the committee are available in our web page and also in the recent Newsletter. We are pleased to introduce this e-patra to keep regular communication with members. Our aim is to send one e-patra in the first week of every month now onwards. This will be in addition to our existing newsletters and any other special communications. Please feel free to send in any information you would like to share with other members- significant achievements by you and your family, items of general interest, activities in the community etc. We will try to put brief announcements in the e-patra. Let us energize, enlarge and expand our activities and membership in this 30^th year our Kannada Sangha. Please participate actively.

KANNADIAN OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT - August 31, 2003

Our annual Golf Tournament is set for Sunday, August 31 at 1 pm at the Executive Fairways Golf Course in Milton. This is a fun filled event for Golf Pros and amateurs alike. GANESHA HABBA, September 13, 2003

Book your calendar for September 13, Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm for our annual Ganesha Habba festival. This year it will be held at the beautiful new Shri Ram Mandir at Hwy. 10 and Derry Road in Mississauga. More details will be sent in the Newsletter and on the web site shortly. We will have Pooja, Bhajans, Childrens Ganesha colouring contest, prasada and so on. Come and participate in large numbers. Please call 905-737-9040 for details, offer to cook etc.

YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2002-03

In order to continue our tradition, the Youth Scholarship for 2002-03 will be awarded during Ganesha Habba. All eligible youth who graduated from high school in June 2003 are eligible to apply. Please see the web page for details and application forms. Last date to apply is August 29.

INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION, AUGUST 23, 2003, Saturday

Panorama India in association with the Consulate of India will be celebrating Indian Independence Day on August 23, 2003 with a grand Cultural program from all regions of India. Please come and participate. Place: Bond International College, 720 Midland Avenue, Scarborough (Midland and Eglinton Avenues) , Time: 1 pm to 8 pm. Admission only $ 3. It is time to renew your membership. Kannada Sangha badly needs to replenish our account balance. Please renew your memberships either by mail or at Ganesha Habba. We encourage additional donations towards scholarship, expenses for functions etc. You can also sponsor food items, gifts, advertisements, display tables during our events etc. Please contact us for details.
