Upcoming Events

 

 

On behalf of the Executive Committee I wish to invite all of you for the upcoming Ganesha Habba function. The details are as follows:

 

Date & time: September 9, 2006 - Time 9.15 am to 3 pm.

Venue: Hindu Temple, 10865 Bayview Avenue, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M1

Phone # 905 883 9109

Major intersection is Bayview and Elgin Mills.

Sufficient parking is available in front and on the sides of the temple

 

By bus: From Finch subway take # 91A (YRT).  Temple is 1 block North of Elgin Mills on Bayview.

Details are as follows:

 

Activities in the temple:

9.30 am –     Kumbabhisheka for Lord Ganesha (sponsored by ten couples from KST)

10.30 am –   Ganesha Pooje

11.00 am – Maha Mangalarathi  - Prasada -  arashina & kumkuma for ladies.

11.30 – 12.00 pm – Bhajans by children (trained by Smt Sharada Bhat)

 

All the above pooja activities will be conducted by the temple priest Sivashri Ketheeswaran Gurukkal.

 

Attendees are encouraged to bring fruits for distribution as Prasada.  Monetary contributions are also welcome and greatly appreciated.

 

Activities in the wedding hall adjacent to the temple:

10 am -11.30am – Children’s Activities (Drawing and Sketching Competition and Ganesha Rangoli display for adults)

12.30 pm – Lunch

1.00 pm- Fancy Dress Show for Toddlers (held on the stage) 

Please register names for the above activities with Jaishri Javali, Sunitha Yajaman or Chandrika Ravishankar at the earliest to make necessary arrangements.

 

Membership:   Existing members are requested to renew your membership and newcomers are welcome to begin their membership on this day.  

Family membership: $25.00 per year; Individual membership: $15.00 per year and Life membership: $250.00.

 

All are requested to pay membership fees by cheque for ease of handling and accounting.  However, cash also will be accepted.
