This
is a project for the youth of Kannada Sangha Toronto, to instill
and inculcate the culture and traditions of our Karnataka and Kannada
to make them stay connected with our roots. Participant will give
a talk on any one of the six selected topic for about 5 to 15 minutes.
The talk can be in English or Kannada. Participants are encouraged
to use multimedia to present their project. Kannada Sangha will
provide the Multimedia Equipment as per request.
The topics are as follows:
- The
Historical Background of Karnataka
- Natural Beauty of Karnataka
- Dasara Festival over the years
- Festivals in Karnataka
- Dialects of the Kannada Language
- Temples in Karnataka
Second Project "I love My Kannada"
This
is a talk in Kannada for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Participant can choose any topic of their choice. The contest will
be held during December and January 08. Winners will be rewarded
and recognized appropriately.

A
day deep in culture for children of 10 years and below
Veena
Cavale hosted the first kids program on Saturday 27 October at her
home between 5 PM and 7 PM. Children were exposed to the kannada
culture in a fun filled environment.
Parents
of children in the above age group are requested to speak to Veena
Cavale (905 542 5958) for further information. Light snacks will
